This course prepares you for undergraduate study in Engineering & Science and Information Technology. In addition to several units that are common to all foundation courses, you will study units in Engineering Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and Programming in C++. The courses are aimed at developing your academic diligence, critical analysis, and a raft of generic skills. They provide a solid foundation for the students to adapt to university education more confidently, both in terms of level and style of education.

There are two (2) streams for the Foundation of Engineering and Science programme:

  1. Engineering stream
  2. Science stream

Engineering Stream

The course prepares you for undergraduate study in Arts & Commerce. In the Commerce stream, you will study units in Commerce Mathematics, Economics, Accounting and Business Management.

Students who pass all subjects in the Foundation Studies – Commerce and Arts Stream programme can enter degree programmes such as:
